clean, attractive and well-located...A clean, attractive and well-located hotel tucked away behind St Marks Square, but with a quiet ambience and attractive good-sized rooms. We stayed in a junior suite which was roomy and comfortable. A great central location from which to explore the city on foot, and not too far from water bus stops to and from the railway station and airport.
Dona Palace a Definite Yes & Book the Junior SuiteThe Hotel Dona Palace is small, quaint, easy to access-once you know where it is, and is certainly a winner. The reception desk is manned 24 hours straight, so there is always some one available to you. Secondly, the front desk reception is friendly and professional and you feel safe from the madness that takes place outside in those busy alleys of Venice. Breakfast is served on the second floor in a charming setting with an open terrace and pretty ambiance. The convenience to San Marco Square and the good shops and restaurants can't be beat!
Excellent location!The hotel is very close to St. Marks Square and all the hustle and bustle. Having the junior suite was a nice treat and the size of the room was exceptional! I was surprised to receive a bathrobe and slippers which made it even more luxurious! I would definitly recommend this hotel!
Great Location, Spacious Room, Excellent BreakfastThe location is very convenient to St. Mark's Square but just far enough away to be quiet. We had a junior suite and the room was very large. We had a king size bed, a full size sofa, and the room had lots of space. Bathroom had double sinks, nice shower/tub; plus a hallway with closet and desk. Wifi was available with a password from the front desk. Breakfast was very good with breads, pastries, eggs, potatoes, meats, yogurt, fresh fruits, etc. We found the staff very friendly. Definitely would stay there again.
